FAQ
Who decides who’s right?
Nobody. There’s no resolution, no oracle and no end date. The price is the crowd’s current view, and you profit by selling after it moves your way.
How is this different from a prediction market?
Prediction markets bet on events that end and pay $1 or $0. R8 markets never end, and a side can keep rising even at 99% consensus.
How is this different from a memecoin?
A memecoin has one side. An R8 market has two, sharing one pool: buying one side pushes the other down, so you can back or fade.
What does “consensus 70%” mean?
The first side’s market cap (say, ANSEM.COOL) is 70% of the two sides’ market caps added together. It reads where the crowd’s money stands — it isn’t the chance that something happens.
Can I lose money?
Yes. If the crowd moves against your side, its price falls. Every trade also pays a 1.6% fee.
What can a market be paired with?
An SPL token: USDC, SOL, a tokenized stock, a pre-IPO token or a coin. The pool holds it, and every price in that market is quoted in it.
